What an incredible celebration of creativity, curiosity, and student passion!
Our Engage & Enrich Showcase 2026 brought together an amazing collection of student Passion Projects, highlighting the diverse interests, ideas, and talents of our students. From innovative concepts and creative pursuits to research and real-world problem-solving, students proudly shared projects driven by what inspires them.
We were also delighted to welcome a special guest speaker , Aaron Nguyen from UTS School of Entrepreneurship, who shared valuable insights into entrepreneurship, innovation and turning ideas into opportunities.
Congratulations to all our students who showcased their work and demonstrated what can happen when young people are encouraged to explore, create, challenge themselves and pursue their passions.

At the Mirath in Mind event, our Primary and Secondary students delivered an outstanding performance. Their songs and dances were presented beautifully and with great confidence, reflecting weeks of hard work and dedication.
We are delighted to share that our students took out first prize in this special celebration — a wonderful achievement that speaks to their talent and commitment.
Congratulations to all our students on this fantastic result, and a heartfelt thank you to the teachers in the Arabic Department who guided and supported them along the way.

On 3 September, students from MCHF performed at the Maronite Sisters’ fundraiser towards building a new nursing home. The students performed in front of 500 guests. The Primary students, accompanied by Ms Sassine, sang the Lebanese National Anthem. Secondary students then performed a Lebanese cultural dance with drumming, under the guidance of Ms Zaiter and Ms Taylor. The students were the highlight of the evening.

Year 12 had the pleasure of having our very own Fr Ron come out for a talk with them about life beyond school. Fr Ron provided an insight into what the world holds for our students and encouraged them to look beyond into their futures of careers, marriage, and maintaining a life of faith.
The talk then concluded with our college principal, Sr Margaret, who gave her final words of wisdom and guidance as they prepare for their final week at MCHF.
We are truly proud of our students and their achievements and wish them the best of luck on the journey ahead to their graduation on Friday the 18th of September

Students enjoyed an exciting excursion to the aquarium, where they explored marine life and learned more about the different animals and ecosystems found underwater. It was a fun and educational experience that allowed students to discover and appreciate the world beneath the ocean.

The Secondary Learning Centre hosted an Escape Room Challenge, whereby groups of students used their sleuthing skills to solve riddles. The winning trio from year 8 - Gianno Sleiman, Ryan Harb and Charbel Sleiman - were the first team to find Alice’s missing pet cat, Dinah.

Secondary students stepped into a fully immersive literary experience where stories came to life through light, sound and projection.
From the ancient Hakawati storytellers and One Thousand and One Nights to epic journeys of Homer and Lebanese Australian migration stories, students explored how storytelling connects people across time, cultures and generations.
Because every story matters, and every voice matters, together they create a Symphony of Stories.

Primary students were privileged to meet two inspiring authors who shared their passion for books and writing.
Kindergarten, Year 1, and Year 2 students enjoyed an engaging visit from Zanni Louise, who captivated students with dramatic skits and interactive storytelling. Students gained an insight into the inspiration, imagination, and creativity involved in bringing stories to life.
Students in Years 3 to 6 were visited by Steve Worland, who shared his experiences as both an author and screenwriter. His presentation connected strongly with students' classroom learning as he explored the differences between writing books and screenplays. Students were fascinated by his creative process and the journey from an idea to a finished story.

Throughout Book Week, students visited the Primary Learning Centre during break one to participate in a variety of fun and engaging activities. Students enjoyed creating bookmarks, completing mazes, decoding mystery words, and working collaboratively with their peers.
A highlight for many students was the charades competition, where participants showcased their creativity, communication skills, and dramatic talents while working together to guess book-related clues.

A special highlight of the week was the wonderful performance presented by our talented High School students. Inspired by this year's theme, A Symphony of Stories, the performance creatively combined storytelling and music, bringing beloved stories to life in an entertaining and engaging way. Primary students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were excited to see the theme celebrated through drama and performance.

Over the course of the past nine months Year 11 students Jonah Botros, Maria Elias and Grace Ghabache have successfully participated in and completed the 2026 Max Potential program, an innovative youth leadership development program which matches high school students with volunteer community coaches. Developing and executing their ideas into projects to help benefit the wider community, these students should be recognised and praised for their management of their academic studies while at the same time, developing their leadership skills and participating in fostering community outreach links in their own time to help make a difference. Recognition of their achievements was celebrated at Dooleys Pavilion at Regents Park, where their projects were presented to various members of the public, local businesses as well as members of local government. A big kudos is in order for these three students, and we wish them well as they make their way into their HSC year.
