Our College community came together in faith and gratitude to celebrate Blessed Patriarch Howayek Day, honouring the legacy of a leader whose vision, courage, and devotion helped shape the Maronite Church and its people. We were deeply blessed by the presence of Mother Superior Sr Marie‑Antoniette, who joined us from Lebanon and enriched our celebration with her prayerful leadership and connection to our spiritual heritage.
The day commenced with a solemn procession of the relics, inviting students and staff into a moment of reverence and reflection. This was followed by a series of celebration assemblies, where our community explored the life, mission, and enduring impact of the Blessed Patriarch. Students were then invited to view a special film presentation depicting his remarkable journey of faith, service, and nation‑building.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all staff and students who contributed to this meaningful celebration.

On Friday 4 September, the MCHF community came together to celebrate Father’s Day with a special Mass and morning tea. It was a wonderful opportunity to honour and give thanks for the fathers, grandfathers, carers, and significant male role models who play such an important role in our students' lives.
Students participated reverently in the Mass, reflecting on the values of love, guidance, and service that fathers and father figures bring to our families and community. Following the celebration, families gathered for a relaxed morning tea, enjoying the opportunity to connect and share in the spirit of gratitude and togetherness.
We thank all who joined us for this special occasion and for the ongoing support, care, and encouragement they provide to our students each day.

On 25 September, the MCHF community gathered to celebrate our Care for Creation Mass, reflecting on our shared responsibility to care for God’s creation and to be good stewards of the world entrusted to us. Through prayer, Scripture, and reflection, students were reminded of the importance of living sustainably and acting with respect, gratitude, and compassion for all of creation.
As part of the celebration, students also reflected on the life and witness of St Carlo Acutis, whose deep faith, love for the Eucharist, and commitment to using his gifts to share the Gospel continue to inspire young people around the world. His example encouraged our community to consider how we can use our own talents and actions to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the world around us.
The Mass was a meaningful opportunity for students and staff to deepen their understanding of Catholic social teaching, strengthen their commitment to caring for our common home, and celebrate the ways in which faith calls us to live with hope, purpose, and responsibility.

Students participated in a Faith Formation activity exploring the lives and faith journeys of Saint Monica and Saint Augustine. They learned about their influence on Christianity and reflected on the importance of faith, perseverance, and family.
