Doctors In Secondary Schools (DISS)

Our Doctors in secondary school are here every Wednesday from period 1,2,3 & 4.  You are able to book an appointment with DISS via compass.

• Log onto Compass
• Click conferences in the toolbar
• Click My Bookings
• Select Date/ Time
• Select Doctor

• Click OK and confirm

   

  This is a great service that is available to all students at MSC.

  Students are also able to pop up to Wellbeing and we can help them make an appointment on their Compass.  Students can also walk into the DISS office during recess and book appointments.

  Emma is the Nurse who works with the Dr’s.  We are fortunate to have two Dr’s who rotate week to week.  There is Dr David and Dr Arianne.  

  Students are able to have their parent attend the appointment or they can bring a staff member from wellbeing or a friend for support. 

   

  Students can discuss all types of issues with the Dr’s such as:

• Any physical issue such as sprains or injuries
• Any infections or something they are worried about with their body
• Any reproductive or sexual health issue
• Any mental health issue
• Any Relationship or friendship issue 

• Or anything else that may be causing them concern.

   

  All information and conversations are kept confidential and private, the only time that the Dr’s will have to speak to someone else will be if they think the student may cause harm to themselves or anyone else.
