Volley Ball

Maffra Secondary College’s Intermediate Boys Volleyball team has earned a place at the State Championships after an outstanding performance at the regional competition. The boys displayed excellent teamwork, determination and skill throughout the day.  They won all 3 matches convincingly, against Korrumburra, St.Thomas Aquinas and Bairnsdale Nagle.

Their success was built on strong, consistent effort and a positive attitude on the court. The team’s ability to work together under pressure was a highlight and has deservedly secured them a chance to compete at the next level.

The Senior Boys Volleyball team also performed strongly, narrowly missing out on progressing after finishing with a draw and losing on a face-off countback. Despite the disappointing result, the boys demonstrated great sportsmanship across the tournament. Their teamwork, effort and respect were a credit to themselves and the school. The senior boys had wins over Bairnsdale and Leongatha, but went down to a strong Warragul team.

Both teams should be congratulated for the way they represented Maffra Secondary College, showing excellent volleyball skills  and encouragement of one another throughout the competition.

A special thank you goes to Ms Williams,  along with Hamish, Lincoln and Jaxon, for their time, coaching, supporting and helping prepare the students for the competition.

We wish the Intermediate boys good luck at State finals at Albert Park on Wednesday 13th of May.
