Teaching And Learning

In the lead up to ANZAC Day, our students have been reflecting on remembrance, courage and the power of words.
Our Year 3 students explored poetry as a way to express thoughts, feelings and imagery connected to remembrance. Through carefully chosen words, descriptive language and thoughtful ideas, they created poems that captured moments of reflection and gratitude. It has been wonderful to see each student’s unique voice shine through in their writing.
Our Year 5/6 students also spent time learning about the significance of ANZAC Day and the sacrifices made by servicemen and women. As part of this learning, they wrote heartfelt letters to soldiers, expressing thanks, respect and appreciation. These letters encouraged students to think deeply about empathy, service and the importance of remembering those who have served our country.
We are incredibly proud of the care, maturity and creativity our students have shown through these meaningful writing pieces.
