What a fantastic evening we shared at our Box Hill North Primary School and Kindergarten Trivia Night last Saturday! It was wonderful to see so many members of our school community come together for a night filled with laughter, friendly competition and plenty of fun.

A huge thank you goes to Tia and Janet, whose countless hours of planning, organising and attention to detail made the evening such a tremendous success. Events like this simply wouldn't happen without the dedication of volunteers like these two amazing parents, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they did behind the scenes.

Thank you also to everyone who attended, embraced the theme with fantastic costumes, and contributed to the wonderful atmosphere. It was fantastic to see so much school spirit on display!

Congratulations to our winning team for the evening, The Misfits, who proved themselves to be worthy trivia champions!

A sincere thank you also to our generous families, local businesses and community members who donated prizes for our Silent Auction, as well as everyone who enthusiastically joined the bidding. Your generosity will directly support opportunities and resources for our students.

We're still busy finalising the total funds raised from the evening, but early indications suggest it was an outstanding success! We look forward to sharing the final fundraising total with our community early next term.

Thank you once again to everyone who contributed in any way. Together, you've demonstrated the incredible strength, generosity and community spirit that makes Box Hill North Primary School and Kindergarten such a special place.

Farewell and Best Wishes to Shauna

At the end of this term, we farewell one of our wonderful Education Support staff members, Shauna, who is returning home to Ireland.

Over the past year, Shauna has become a much-loved member of both our Education Support team and the broader school community. Her warmth, patience and genuine care have helped countless students to grow in confidence, develop independence and experience success in their learning. She has built strong, trusting relationships with students, families and colleagues alike, and her positive impact will be felt long after she leaves.

On behalf of our entire school community, I would like to thank Shauna for her dedication, kindness and unwavering commitment to our students. We wish her every happiness and success as she returns home to begin her next adventure.

Wishing Charlotte All the Very Best

This week we also farewell our Kindergarten Director, Charlotte, as she begins maternity leave in anticipation of welcoming her second child.

Charlotte has provided outstanding leadership to our kindergarten, fostering a nurturing, engaging and high-quality learning environment for our youngest learners. Her passion for early childhood education and commitment to children and families have been greatly valued by our entire community.

We thank Charlotte for everything she has contributed to Box Hill North Primary Kindergarten and wish her, her husband and family every happiness as they prepare to welcome their newest little family member. We look forward to meeting the newest addition when the time is right!

End of Term Arrangements

A reminder that Friday is the final day of Term 2, with students finishing school early at 2:30 pm.

Our final whole-school assembly will be held at 2:00 pm, and families are warmly welcome to attend as we celebrate the many achievements of our students before the holidays.

Please ensure arrangements are in place for students to be collected promptly at 2:30 pm. Families requiring after-school care can access the TheirCare program following the early finish.

Looking Ahead

Students return for the commencement of Term 3 on Monday 13 July.

The holiday break provides an important opportunity for everyone to rest, recharge and spend quality time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming back a school full of well-rested, refreshed and enthusiastic students, ready for another exciting term of learning and growth.

On behalf of all our staff, thank you for your ongoing support throughout the semester. We wish every member of our Box Hill North Primary School and Kindergarten community a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday break.

As we reach the end of another busy and successful term, I would like to sincerely thank our students, staff and families for the incredible partnership and support shown throughout Term 2. It has been another term filled with rich learning experiences, opportunities for students to shine, and countless examples of our school values of Compassion, Ambition, Courage and Creativity in action.
