Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. 

Across the three Masses at St Mary’s Church this weekend, many of our learners will receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist: Saturday 29th March @ 6.00pm and Sunday 30th March at the 9.30am and 11.30am Masses. Please hold these Candidates in your prayers either by your presence at one of these celebrations or in your hearts. 

Caritas Ks 

Congratulation to all Year 3 and 4 learners who participated in Caritas Ks yesterday walking in solidarity with those who do not have the essential items that we have. Learners walked within the school and neighbourhood carrying either buckets of water or suitcases/backpacks of clothing, books or toys for donation to St Vincent de Paul. It was wonderful to have Kerry Stone, Caritas Diocesan coordinator, Fr Novie and our parent volunteer, Kate, with us as we raised an awareness of the injustices in our world. 

Your generosity in donations for St Vincent de Paul, particularly toys, books, footwear and clothes, filled two carloads which have been delivered to the Echuca Store. Thank you for your outreach to others and your generosity.  

 Thankful Thursday 

Some House tallies continue to grow, particularly St Augustine’s House. With only one more week to go, let’s see who brings home the highest tally! A reminder that all funds donated will support Caritas. 

Holy Week Liturgy 

Please join us on Thursday 3rd April at 12.30pm in the Brigidine Centre as we prepare ourselves in readiness for Holy Week. Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday with Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem through to The Passion of Jesus on Good Friday. Whilst the celebration of Holy Week will not occur until the second week of the holidays, it is important to prepare both our minds and hearts in readiness. Upon return to school, classrooms will revisit the Season of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus. 

Easter blessings 

Easter is a time of hope, renewal and rebirth. An occasion when families, friends and loved ones come together to both celebrate and reflect on the blessings in their lives.  

Easter is also the most joyful season in our Catholic faith, as we join together to celebrate the resurrection and rebirth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  

Throughout this special time of year, we must celebrate with joy as this season signifies our hope for eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. In this Jubilee year, as Pilgrims of Hope, may we be hope filled people. 

Let us rejoice alongside our families, friends and loved ones in the resurrection of our Lord this Easter Sunday.

May we feel the warm embrace of your love during this sacred time.  

May the glory of Jesus’s resurrection remind us that with You,

Celebration of Mass and Liturgy
