Foundation

Dear Families,

Welcome to Term 4! To echo the children's sentiments this week – we missed you over the holidays! It has been so wonderful to see everyone return to school with such excitement and enthusiasm. We’ve had an exciting start to the term, welcoming a new friend to our class, Noah! The children have been so generous in sharing their time, friendship and guidance to help Noah feel right at home at our school. It has been lovely to see such kindness and inclusivity in action.

We’re looking forward to another fun-filled term of learning, laughter and friendship. It’s hard to believe this is our last term together. Have a wonderful weekend.

Year 1

Hi Families,

What a wonderful first week we have had back! On Monday, we harvested our garden as part of our Inquiry unit, From Paddock to Plate. It was so wonderful to see the children pulling the produce from the garden and seeing how the tiny seedlings they had planted had grown into vegetables, some very small and others lovely and large!

The children carefully washed and prepared the produce before setting the table with the beautiful tablecloth they had created. Our little florists also made several lovely arrangements to adorn the table.

The children then had the opportunity to try the salad they had helped grow and prepare. Some children asked for seconds, while others decided that one taste was enough! Regardless, it was so joyful to see the children trying the salad and enjoying the rewards of their hard work. It was a lovely way to celebrate everything they had learnt throughout our From Paddock to Plate unit. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the beautiful sunshine!

Year 2

Hello Families,

WELCOME TO TERM 4!

Wow, it was wonderful to see the class again and hear about their holiday stories. This week was busy catching up on such adventures, story writing and making salads from our garden and their weekly mini assembly. The class were lucky to have a PE session with 2 local cricketers - that was so much fun and of course our Birthday friend- Scarlett, is now a year older!

Looking ahead, we begin our Inquiry studies about our families and communities 'then and now'.  We are looking how fractions are a part of our daily activities (eating half a pizza!) Exciting reminder,  next week we begin our ''Magic Monday'' activities. Your child has been given his/her first or second activity choice that will run for 3 weeks. We can't wait to be able to share those times. Have a wonderful weekend, think “There is no end to education… The whole of life… is a process of learning.”

Year 3/4

Hi families,

Welcome to term 4!

We are so proud of how the students have transitioned this week into the shared 3/4 classroom for our final term together. They have shown such resilience, great teamwork and the ability to grow together.

We commenced our Inquiry unit; 'What is the history of Australia?'. Students recorded what they see, know and wonder when looking at a range of images. We were introduced to a traditional Indigenous game called Gorri. Students discovered it was traditionally played using spears as hunting practice.
