LEAP

Learning Enrichment Activities Program

At Pioneer Village we are proud to have a program to identity and meet the needs of High-Potential Students.  Our multi-age LEAP program allows selected students in Years 2-6 to come together to engage in rich experiences that help convert their potential into achievement. 

We have started our 2026 program with great enthusiasm, running out of the STEAM room on Thursdays.  The students have enjoyed looking at Rebus puzzles and some students have delighted in designing their own.  Other students were inspired by the Science Buddies International Engineering Challenge and have been busily designing a ball track that takes a long as possible to be completed – out of tape and paper only.  A few students already had a project in mind and have come to our sessions eager to explore their passions and talents with their LEAP classmates.

It’s been inspiring to see the variety of talents and learning styles that our group of students possess.  No doubt it will be exciting to see how they develop individually, and as part of this very targeted group, throughout the year.
