Principal's Report

The past fortnight at Pioneer Village School has been filled with rich learning and community connection. Our students enjoyed a meaningful Dylan Noongar incursion, deepening their understanding of Noongar culture, language, and stories. We also held our first whole school assembly for the year, where the Numbats, led by Mrs Neid, confidently presented on our value of Perseverance. This week marks the start of NAPLAN for our Year 3 and Year 5 students, and we are proud of the positive and focused way they have approached the assessments.

We are also pleased to welcome Rebecca Neal, who has commenced in our Front Office Administration role. Rebecca will support families through the uniform shop, assist with school administration, and contribute to our marketing and community engagement. We warmly welcome Rebecca to Pioneer Village School.

Looking ahead, we are entering an exciting phase of growth. Renovations will begin this month on the recently purchased Fairy Shop, which will be transformed into a modern Music Room and dedicated Italian Languages Classroom, with completion expected by the end of the year. The Bellas building opposite our current administration office has also been acquired and is progressing through compliance checks before becoming our new Administration Building.

These developments reflect our commitment to strengthening opportunities for families and enhancing student outcomes as our school continues to grow. It has been wonderful greeting families each morning at the flagpole, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships throughout the year.

Regards,
