Full STEAM Ahead

STEAM lessons have recently begun the planning phase for two exciting design challenges: the Egg Drop Challenge and the Sphero Chariot Project. In the Egg Drop Challenge, students will design and build a protective container to keep an egg safe when dropped from a height, encouraging them to think about materials, cushioning, and structure. In the Sphero Chariot Project, students will design and construct a small chariot that connects to a Sphero robot and can complete a course while carrying objects.

Students have been busy drawing and labelling their designs, thinking carefully about the materials they will use. Over the coming weeks, they will begin bringing their plans to life as they start building and testing their creations.
