PRIMARY NEWS

When we think about this year's theme ‘Our Hope-Filled Future,’ it’s all about having the courage to be a ‘shining light’ every day, knowing we aren't walking this path alone. By simply walking together and staying centred in Christ, we can trust that God is leading us toward a future that's brighter than anything we could imagine!
To celebrate CSW at Holy Trinity, our students joined together in prayer, followed by buddy reading across year levels, and we shared a picnic lunch with our families. Looking ahead, Wednesday brings the Deanery Mass in Armidale, which Mrs Guest, Mrs Rainger, our secondary leaders, and our 'Mary: Our Mother' Diocesan Art Competition finalists (Remedy 1W, Holly 1D, and Janatt Yr 7) will be attending. We will then wrap up the week on Friday with the 'Gary McSweeney Memorial Cup' and Rugby Union Trials in Tamworth as well as our CSW & Trinity Mass on Friday at HTS.

Students may wear their team colours with their uniform tomorrow, Wednesday, 27 May.

#1 Early Reading - A high-impact, 20-minute information session designed specifically for busy families. This "bite-sized" workshop will provide families of K-2 children with practical tools to support your child’s early reading journey.
The Heart Foundation’s Jump Rope for Heart program encourages students to be active, have fun, and develop healthy lifestyle habits through skipping activities and fitness challenges. The program helps children improve their coordination, confidence, and overall fitness while promoting the importance of regular physical activity for heart health. As part of their participation, students also have the opportunity to raise funds to support lifesaving heart research and education, allowing them to make a positive contribution to the wider community while staying active and engaged. Register and create your own secure webpage at www.jumprope.org.au/parents. By signing up online, you and your child/ren can easily track skipping skill progress, earn virtual badges, post updates so family and friends can follow their journey, access additional skipping resources and raise funds. For more information, please visit www.jumprope.org.au/parents.

We ask that students avoid bringing toys to school unless specifically requested by their teacher. Toys can easily become a distraction during class time when in pockets, may get broken or lost, and can sometimes cause disagreements between students in the playground. If 3-6 students would like to bring something to play with during break times, a clearly named ball is welcome. Infants children have sports equipment available to use during breaks. We appreciate families supporting this expectation and helping students keep valuable or special toys safely at home.
