PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Mrs Jillian Rainger

As we reach the exact midpoint of Term 2, it is wonderful to look back on everything we have achieved, while eagerly anticipating the weeks ahead. There is a tangible energy across our school, and it is a beautiful reminder of how our chosen theme, "Our Hope-Filled Future," is being lived out each and every day by our students and staff.
This week, we join with Catholic schools across the diocese to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. It is a time to reflect on our distinct identity and the gift of Catholic education. Two beautiful expressions of this identity have been alive in our school this week: prayer and our buddy reading program. Watching our senior students sit with our primary students, guiding them through stories and sharing quiet moments of connection, truly embodies the living spirit of Christ in our community.
As a Catholic community, everything we do is anchored in our core values. We see these values in action daily:
We warmly invite all parents, carers, and friends to join us in celebrating these values at our Trinity Mass this Friday. It is always a beautiful liturgical celebration, and all are welcome to attend and pray with us.
Last night, I was reading through two professional education journals and came across several sobering articles regarding the rising trends of bullying and threatening behavior directed toward school principals and teachers. In response, new legislation has recently been passed to strictly protect school staff members.
Reading this made me pause, and I confess I said a little prayer of thanks. For us at Holy Trinity, the reality of those articles feels incredibly remote. The relationship between our school and our homes is built on a foundation of mutual respect. We are deeply grateful that when families have concerns, they come to us to address them in a positive, collaborative, and constructive manner, keeping the best outcomes for our children at the heart of the conversation. Thank you for valuing, protecting, and living out this culture of respect alongside us.
Our school is a bustling place, and it simply cannot run without your unwavering support. I want to extend a massive thank you to all our families for your incredible commitment to our extra-curricular activities this term. From early morning departures for various sporting and extra opportunities and your beautiful attendance at our prayer celebrations and liturgies—your partnership makes our community the rich environment it is.
As a reminder, there are plenty of specific dates and event details located in the other sections of this newsletter. However, please note that we officially move to the Winter Uniform this coming Monday.
Uniform Support: Attached to this newsletter, you will find a flyer regarding custom-fitting uniforms. We recognise that opting for a custom-fitted uniform comes with an additional cost. Please know that I am more than happy to discreetly support any family that requires assistance with this service. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly if your family needs help.
Thank you for a wonderful first half of the term. Let’s keep this positive momentum going as we head into the second half!
