Celebrating Catholic Schools Week – Our Hope Filled Future

This week, our school community proudly joins with families, staff, and parishes across the Armidale Diocese to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. It is a wonderful time to open our doors, look to the horizon, and give thanks for the unique gift of Catholic education.

Our guiding theme for this year’s celebration is "Our Hope-Filled Future." This theme reminds us that a hope-filled future is something we actively create with God every single day. We build it when we nourish both the minds and spirits of our students, and when we ensure our classrooms are anchored in kindness, encouragement, and active faith.

Every young person in our care has been blessed with unique gifts, and our mission is to help them let those gifts illuminate the world through genuine care and service to others as they shine their light.

A vibrant school community relies on a strong partnership between home, school, and parish. We want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to our parents and carers for your enduring trust, cooperation, and support.

Following our Catholic Schools Week prayer yesterday, students from all grades came together to share the joy of picture books. It was wonderful to watch our community connect, with younger students proudly reading to their older peers, and the younger kids intently listening to the older students. This simple act of sharing stories builds beautiful bonds, boosts reading confidence, and reminds us of the strength in our school family. Thank you to all our wonderful buddies for making today so special!

On Wednesday, the Year 10 Sports Captains, Mrs Rainger and I will travel to Armidale for the CSW Deanery Mass at St Mary and St Joseph Cathedral.

Our school community will gather at the end of the week for a special Mass celebrating both Catholic Schools Week and the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity (the Blessed Trinity). The Trinity is the ultimate model of perfect relationship, unity, and shared love.

Thank you for your continued support of Catholic education, and may we all continue to look forward together with confidence toward a hope-filled future!

We have finalists!

Mary - Art Competition

Thank you for all the entries we had come in across the school, it was wonderful to see so many personal interruptions of Mary, our mother. All the artworks were sent to the ACS Office and were shortlisted and judged by Bishop Murphy with the winners being announced at the Deanery Masses for Catholic Schools Week this week.

Congratulations to Hollie, Remedy and Jannat who have all been announced as finalists! They will find out how they went at the Catholic Schools Week Mass in Armidale on Wednesday. Well done and we look forward to hearing these results!
