Students Hit the Right Notes in Council Band

Malvern Primary School has always been a hub of young talent, nurturing students in various fields, from academics to sports and arts. This year, the school added another feather to its cap by having five students make a notable debut in the Stonnington City Training Band.

The five MPS students were Thomas A (3CB) on trombone, George C (4PM) on tuba, Hugh I (4PM) on the cornet and Lucas A (4AQ) and Caleb A (6BD) on trumpet.

The Stonnington City Band is a community brass band that was formed in 1911 and trains weekly, holding regular performances throughout the year.

The debut performance was a much-anticipated event, held at the Malvern Town Hall. An audience of approximately 200 community members gathered to witness the culmination of months of hard work and dedication.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Thomas, George, Hugh, Lucas and Caleb on their performance. Malvern Primary School looks forward to nurturing more talent and celebrating many more milestones in the future.
