Celebration of Song

A huge congratulations to our Senior Choir, who proudly represented ARPS at the Celebration of Song event at Lyndale Secondary College on Tuesday 20th October. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their love of singing, perform alongside other school choirs and make connections with students from across our network in a supportive, non-competitive environment.

Our students were simply fantastic! It was such a joy to watch them take to the big stage, shine under the bright lights and sing with such confidence and enthusiasm. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school.

Southern Metropolitan Regional Athletics

Congratulations to Yajing who competed at the Southern Metropolitan Regional Athletics event held at Casey Fields in Cranbourne on Wednesday 21st October. Yajing qualified for both the Discus and Shot Put events which is an incredible achievement. Competing against fifteen other competitors she performed extremely well in both events. She threw a personal best of 19.69 metres in Discus to finish in sixth place and threw 7.36 metres in Shot Put to finish in ninth place. Well done Yajing on an outstanding achievement.

Children’s Forum

Yesterday, Wednesday 28th October, our four student leaders, Oscar, Alice, Kealyn and Nelson, had the exciting opportunity to represent ARPS at the 2026 City of Greater Dandenong Children’s Forum at Springvale Town Hall. This fantastic event brings together Year 5 and Year 6 students from across the local community to share ideas, build leadership skills and explore how young people can help make a positive difference.

Throughout the day, our students participated in engaging workshops, heard from inspiring speakers and took part in hands-on activities that encouraged creativity, collaboration and active citizenship. They explored real community projects, shared their perspectives and considered ways to help create a brighter, more inclusive future for everyone. Experiences like these empower our young people to recognise the value of their voices and the important role they can play in shaping their communities.

We are very proud of our student leaders for embracing this opportunity and representing our school so positively.

Student Wellbeing Day and Melbourne Cup Celebration Day

A friendly reminder that this coming Monday 2nd November is our Student Wellbeing Day, combined with our Melbourne Cup Celebration Day! We are looking forward to a wonderful day filled with fun, friendship, connection and plenty of opportunities for our ARPS community to come together.

Parents and carers are invited to join us in the morning for our fabulous Fashions on the Field event. We would love to see families come along, share in the excitement and help make the morning a memorable one for our students.

After recess, students and staff will walk to Burden Park to enjoy a range of rotational activities focused on teamwork, positive relationships, friendship and the importance of looking after our social, emotional and physical wellbeing. It will be a great opportunity for students to have fun together; strengthen friendships and celebrate the wonderful sense of community we share at ARPS.

And, of course, no celebration would be complete without a delicious lunch! Thanks to our students having a voice in the planning, everyone will enjoy a pizza lunch, followed by a donut and fruit drink.

We can’t wait to celebrate with our students and enjoy a day that puts wellbeing, belonging and positive connections at the heart of everything we do!
