Sickbay Update: End‑of‑Term Tired and Weary

 

As we reach the final weeks of term, many students are feeling the effects of a busy schedule. It’s completely normal for children to become more tired as routines, learning demands, sports, and social activities all add up. You may notice your child, and maybe other members of the household, are a little more emotional or grumpy.

 

A few simple habits can make a big difference:

  • Plenty of sleep helps children stay focused and regulate their emotions.
  • Nutritious snacks and regular meals keep energy levels steady.
  • Quiet time after school gives their bodies and minds a chance to reset.
  • Hydration supports concentration and overall wellbeing.

If your child visits the sickbay feeling tired or overwhelmed, we’ll always provide a calm space and check in with them. Most of the time, a short rest, a drink of water, or a moment to regroup is all they need.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we help students finish the term feeling safe, healthy, and proud of their efforts. The holidays are just around the corner and will be a well‑earned chance to recharge.
