Wellbeing Team News

The Wellbeing Team, along with the rest of the HPSC Staff, are rested after a long holidays and are raring to go again in 2025! Here's a quick run-down of our first week back, and our grand plans for the year ahead.
YEAR 7 START-UP WAS A HIT!
Wednesday morning saw more than 200 new Year 7's wave-off their families to kick off their High School journey! Over the week students participated in a variety of activities hosted by HPSC Staff and Special Guests. In between the Virtual Reality sessions, Motivational Talk, and Disco, the Wellbeing Team ran our Annual 'Wellbeing 101' Presentations to get them familiar with the supports available for them at HPSC. Blended with Get-To-Know-You Games and Connection Building activities, students learned about the free Doctors and Lawyers service provided on-site and how to book themselves in to see them, learned about our variety of Celebration Days and Lunchtime Clubs, and got to know who lives in Wellness Centre. We're excited to watch you all flourish in the year ahead and join us for our variety of events!
A VAIRETY OF LUNCHTIME CLUBS!
The Wellbeing Team are experts at Lunchtime Fun, and love providing a chance for students to connect, share hobbies, learn new skills, and advocate for causes they care about. Our clubs cater to the needs of our diverse student community and offer a safe space for students to connect with Wellbeing throughout the term, while incorporating their interests.
Some of our Clubs include:
Rainbow Collective
▶ A Safe Space for LGBTQIA+ Students and Allies to meet, hang-out and connect over games and activities! Come and join Harlin down in A12 on Tuesday lunchtimes!
Art-fulness Club
▶ A place for Seniors (Years 10-12) to unleash their creativity and connect over art and self-expression, while learning Mindfulness and Wellbeing strategies all at the same time! Come on down to C6 and get your creative on!
Lego Club
▶ A Year 7 - only Club, where our newest students can make creations and friendships over a shared hobby! Come on down to A12 in the Wellness Centre every Wednesday lunchtime to do some free-building or get competitive over a building-challenge or Uno tournament with your peers!
Breakfast Club
▶ Fuel your Focus for the day with a nutritious and delicious meal! Served for free to all students, Breakfast Club provides a place for everyone to get a feed before school starts, helping our students perform well in class, during sports, and other day-to-day activities in school. A variety of options are available to suit everyone's taste - come on down to A12 in the Wellness Centre 5-days a week! See you tomorrow!
Wellbeing is excited to for what's ahead in 2025! We'll see you soon at one of our clubs, programs, events, and celebration days! 😄
