Principal's Report

Welcome Back to Another Exciting School Year!
Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
I am delighted to welcome all students and staff back to another school year. Our start has been incredibly smooth, positive, and productive, setting the stage for what promises to be a fantastic year of learning, growth, and achievement.
This year, we once again welcomed our new Year 7 students, along with many other new students across all year levels. It has been wonderful to see them settling in so well, making new friends, and embracing our school values of Respect, Learning, and Working Together. I am also pleased to welcome a group of dynamic and high-performing new staff members, who bring fresh energy and expertise to our school community.
Our Year 7 Induction Program has been a key focus in ensuring a smooth transition for our newest students. The program includes engaging activities designed to help them build connections with their classmates, get to know their teachers, and navigate their way around the school. A highlight of the first week was Friday’s disco, which was a fantastic way to celebrate their first days with us.
It has been particularly impressive to see all students transitioning quickly into their studies, embracing the challenges of the new year with enthusiasm and determination. I am incredibly proud to share that, in the past two years, our school has achieved the highest senior school results in our college’s history. This outstanding achievement is a testament to the dedication of our hardworking staff and students, as well as the strength of our support structures, processes, and high expectations.
Next Tuesday, we will come together for our first whole school assembly. This special occasion will allow us to celebrate the achievements of our high-achieving senior students from last year, who will share their experiences and strategies for success. Additionally, we will officially acknowledge our new student leaders for 2025 with a special badge presentation. Leadership is a vital part of our school, and we look forward to seeing our student leaders contribute positively to our community this year.
Over the past few years, we have seen significant improvements to our school’s teaching spaces and general facilities. With the completion of Stages 1, 2, and 3 of our building projects, our learning environment continues to evolve to support our students’ needs. Our gymnasium entrance has been upgraded, now featuring a ticket box and additional teaching space. We have also enhanced our outdoor areas with new synthetic grass and seating, creating welcoming spaces for students to enjoy. Later this year, we will see the addition of a new First Aid/Health Space, a relocated and improved bike shed/enclosure, and upgraded maintenance facilities, with further improvements also planned.
