Parent & Carer Forum: Digital Wellbeing

Please join us for the Parent and Carer only forum about Digital Wellbeing to be held next Tuesday, 10 November, in the School Hall beginning at 7pm sharp.
Following the successful parent forum on Resilience held in March, School Council has responded to the numerous requests from parents to hold a similar forum about the use of technology etc.
We are very fortunate to have Dr Elizabeth Clancy from Deakin University as our guest speaker. Dr Clancy is a registered organisational psychologist, who studies how digital technology shapes lives and the wellbeing of young people. She explores topics such as cyberbullying, online relationships and healthy digital boundaries. The forum will cover:
- Ages and stages - healthy device use from pre-school to late primary and settng up good habits for secondary school.
- Parental mediation - How parents and carers can engage with and support young people's use of online programs with pratical examples.
- Social media - Platforms and protocols to consider and the impact of the social media delay and "trickle down".
- AI and kids - What the evidence tells us and what parents and teachers can do.
I encourage all families to save this date and come along to this very worthwhile presentation.
Please RSVP to let us know you're coming so we can prepare for the evening - https://www.trybooking.com/au/event/1676805
