Performing Arts News - St John's Choir

Last week, our Senior choir enjoyed a wonderful excursion to Box Hill Town Hall for an inspiring intergenerational choir experience. Students participated in engaging singing workshops, learning new techniques and sharing music with others. A highlight of the day was viewing the collaborative video of You’re the Voice, featuring choirs from across the Whitehorse Council, celebrating community and the joy of singing together. The event encouraged connection between generations and showcased the power of music to bring people together. It was a beautiful and memorable experience that our students will treasure, reminding everyone of the harmony that can be created through shared voices and shared purpose.

Our St John's School Christmas Concert is on Thursday, 4 December, at 6pm-7.30pm, where all of our students will sing and dance to our favourite Christmas carols. Our wonderful Preps will perform a play of the true story of Christmas in the annual nativity play on the night of the concert.

I am looking forward to seeing you at our many community events!

National Anthem at Woollies Opening

We are all invited to the Opening of the new Woollies Store in Mitcham, Thursday 11 December at 8am. Woollies is replacing the old Coles store in Britannia Mall.

They have asked our students to sing the National Anthem so it would be great to have as many families there as possible.

I hope that you can join us, more details to come closer to the date.

Warm Regards,

Amanda Hill
