Swimming Carnival Y2-11
Tuesday 10 February will be our Swimming Carnival at the Aquatic Centre. This will be our first major swimming carnival for a number of years and will involve all students from Year 2 to Year 11. The day will be designed around fun and celebrating the start of our year, while providing a fantastic opportunity for our more serious swimmers to post times to qualify for the ACS Diocesan Swimming Carnival on Friday 27 February.
Students will come to school as normal and be bused to the pool after roll marking. Students will then be bused back to school by 3:00pm for a normal departure home.
While no exact times can be given at this stage, our proposed order of events are as follows:
100m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 50m Backstroke, Relays
Our 25m races will be in the program pool throughout the day and moved to the main pool if time permits. There will also be novelty events to gain house points and to have some fun!
Any students wanting to qualify for the Diocesan Carnival have been asked to see Mr Myers to register their name.
Families are welcome to attend.
K-6 Sport
Sport in Weeks 2 and 3 for Years 2-6 is swimming on Tuesdays. Sports uniform is to be worn on these days.
