Grade 3/4 News

Welcome back to the new school year!

We are so excited to welcome our newest cohort of Grade 3–4 students and families back for another year of learning, growth and fun. It’s been wonderful seeing students settle in, reconnect with friends, and jump into classroom routines with such positive energy. We’re looking forward to a term filled with curiosity, creativity and new challenges, and an exciting year ahead as we learn and grow together. We can't wait to see what 2026 will bring!

It was wonderful meeting so many families at our Getting-to-Know-You interviews. If you weren’t able to make a time, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher and we’ll happily organise another time that suits.

Homework

The Grade 3–4 teaching team encourages students to read at home whenever they can, even for a short time. We love celebrating students’ reading efforts, so we invite families to send Home Reading Journals (the small green books) to school each Friday.

We understand that busy family schedules and after-school activities can sometimes make home reading tricky. Please know that any reading your child does is valuable, and developing regular reading habits at home can make a big difference to students’ confidence and success at school, and in the future.
