Year 8 English

Year 8 students completed their first analytical essay in English this week. During Term 3, students studied the Film ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’. Along with viewing the film, students explored film making techniques and related ideas about themes and symbolism in different film genres. It was a great effort by the Year 8 cohort who had planned their writing and demonstrated their commitment to learning in the session with almost all students writing for the full hour. It is pleasing to see them all take the task seriously and push themselves academically.
