Principal's report

Dr Lisa Vinnicombe

The term has finished on a very positive note, with updates from the VSBA about the school building project.

As you all know, the company respnsible for the build entered voluntary administration in March this year, and up until now, there has been very little activity on the site. I am pleased to announce that the tender to engage a builder to complete the works is currently being put together to go out to a prospective builder in the coming days.

Apart from completing the almost finished buildings, this will include major landscaping works, new furniture, the demolition of the old science block, and possibly the refurbishment of the old canteen for different purposes next year.

I understand that this has been a very difficult time for us all and frustrating to see the building having reached near completion only to shut down. Let's hope that we will be able to access wonderful new buildings not too far into 2026.

Term 3 has been busy and term 4 will be even busier. Parents and guardians - we ask that you are right behind your children in year 12 as they move towards the exam period, and support and encourage them as much as you can. We are very excited for this cohort and hope that they will really shine at the end of year.

PLEASE SEE NEXT PAGE FOR KEY DATES.

Third term has seen many students taking advantage of excursions to various places around Melbourne, with some terrific feedback on their behaviour and engagement.

Please enjoy reading about these events through the newsletter!

Have a safe and restful break, and see you in term 4.
