In our last newsletter, I started talking about our URSTRONG Friendology Program, which we teach across our Year 2–6 classes. This week, our 2026 Year 6 Friendology Leaders completed their training and are now ready to support our junior students in the playground as they navigate simple friendship challenges

Working with these students has been incredibly impressive. Their insights, empathy and genuine desire to help younger students really stood out throughout the training. During discussions, they drew on their own past experiences to share what works well for students and what situations might be handled differently.

Becoming a Friendology Leader is a wonderful commitment, with students giving up part of their lunchtime each week to support others. Many of these students are already involved in a range of clubs and activities, which makes their willingness to help even more admirable. They are fantastic role models and are helping to build a strong sense of community within our school.

We will be introducing the Friendology Leaders in assembly in the coming weeks.

Friendology Leaders

We are the Friendology Leaders.  Our job is to help the Prep-2’s at lunchtime.

We can help with…

  • Finding a friend
  • Friendship fires
  • Finding something to do in the playground as well as helping with any other small lunchtime worries.

So…. If you need some help, come find a Year 6 in a blue vest.  Don’t be afraid to talk to us. We are very friendly and can help with anything!

We will be down for at least half of lunch most days.

We hope we can make your lunchtime amazing and fun!
