JP Racing - 2026

Saturday the 2nd of May had finally arrived, it was our second HPV race for the year. I wasn't as nervous this time, however I was a little apprehensive about participating with my broken hand because I was worried that I would let my team down. 

Everyone was getting ready, and the atmosphere was full of energy as people cheered loudly. We had four vehicles racing Vanquish, Raptor, Shazzam, and Fury. Each one looked powerful, shiny, and ready to speed off. As they lined up at the starting line, my heart was racing, and I could hardly stand still. I couldn’t wait for the race to begin, it was going to be incredible!

I was in Fury, the all girls team, and we were full of excitement and determination on race day. Mr Zach and our team decided to make Fury an all girls team, and we were ready to prove ourselves. The race was intense and thrilling, with every team giving their best effort. After all our hard work, Fury proudly won the girls category by 3 laps and collected a trophy and each rider received a medal. Raptor raced brilliantly to come 2nd, Vanquish placed 3rd, and Shazzam finished in 5th place. It was an unforgettable day full of teamwork, excitement, and achievements.

I had an awesome time and can’t wait for the next race. I’m already looking forward to racing again and making even more amazing memories with the team I'm in.

On Saturday, 2nd of may students took participated

in a HPV race at Casey fields criterium track for a 6 hour race.

It all started when we were loading the cars on the track and saying our final good luck to our first riders for the day. We were all super excited. All the riders did a lap behind a car before starting, when the car left the track it was game on. All of our cars were doing so well and by lunchtime it was a tight battle with Vanquish and Raptor. There was a table of snacks plus we had chicken schnitzel salad rolls for lunch and it was very delicious. 

It was getting closer to the end of the race and it was still the battle of Vanquish and Raptor, they were both on the same lap when Raptor overtook Vanquish. Vanquish had a pit stop to get their best rider in to try and catch up. There was 10 minutes left and it was neck to neck, but Vanquish got in front and held on to get second place. The race ended with a victory with all the vehicles involved. 

All the vehicles did so well with Fury coming 1st in the female open category. The rest of our teams were in the Junior open category with 22 teams in total. Vanquish finished 2nd, Raptor coming 3rd and Shazzam finished 5th. 

Overall it was an awesome experience and one that i’ll never forget.
