Welcome to Term 2 of Grade 2. We hope you enjoyed a lovely break. This will be a busy term with lots on so please refer to this overview for helpful dates and information about what to expect in Term 2.

Parent Volunteers

Starting in Week 4, we will commence welcoming parent volunteers into our classrooms. A sign-up roster will be distributed to all parents shortly detailing the offered times for each class.

Please note that in order to volunteer in your child’s classroom, you must have a current Working With Children’s Check and have previously attended the HPS Parent Volunteer course. This is part of our school policy around volunteering in your child’s classroom. We look forward to welcoming you into our classrooms.

Swimming:

In Week 5 from May 18th to 22nd, Grade 2 will be participating in a swimming program. We will require parent volunteers to travel on the bus with us to and from the program. If you are interested in volunteering for this please get in touch with your child’s classroom teacher. We thank you in advance for your assistance. 

Trivical Dance Program:

In Week 4 the 13th of May, Grade 2 commences their Trivical Dance Program. Please note, there is no session on Wednesday the 20th of May. After that, it runs on Wednesdays during sessions 1 to 5 until 24th of June. Students are advised to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. More information will follow about the performance date and time towards the end of the program.
