Sheep
Students in the sheep section are undertaking pre‑lambing vaccinations and drenching this week. Pasture renovation works have also been carried out to improve grazing conditions.






Horticulture
Flowers are the focus this week as Mother’s Day approaches. A total of 115 bunches were sold in town this morning, and a large number were sold at the College this afternoon. The College will donate $575 to Telethon. This is absolutely fantastic, well done to everyone involved.


































Beef
Tagging of AI calves has been completed, with calving expected to wrap up later this week or early next week.
Dairy
The Dairy team has returned to regular routines following a highly successful Dairy Autumn Fair. A very big thank you to Ms Quilty, Mr Jolly, and everyone else who contributed to achieving such a fantastic outcome.

Pigs
The pigs have shown excellent weight gains this week, increasing by an average of 8 kg to reach an average weight of 78.5 kg. All animals are progressing very well.
Poultry
The chickens are doing well and continue to be supplemented with horticulture scraps for additional greens. Bedding has been replaced this week, and manure has been stockpiled for composting.


Workshop
Work is continuing on upgrading the farm’s car trailer, along with several smaller maintenance and repair jobs.
Training
A chainsaw course was delivered to Year 12 students yesterday. All participants gained valuable skills in chainsaw safety and operation, helping them to use their own equipment more effectively and safely.
