2026 Industry Visits - Trades

We will have a range of relevant industries visit the College during Terms 2 and 3 to speak with the Year 12 students about career opportunities in various Trades. These visits will take place on Tuesdays, giving them an opportunity to ask questions. It’s also time for students to update their resumes and possibly seek work placements in their own time during their last holiday break in mid-July.

Personal Projects - Year 12’s and Trades Focus Students

Students are often required to design and complete individual projects in Metals and Furnishings. The selection of each project is negotiated with the trainers, taking into account key considerations such as the estimated cost, the student’s skill level, the time available, and alignment with the course requirements.

A letter is then sent home to inform parents of the proposed project, including the associated costs, and to seek their approval. College policy requires a 50% deposit before the project commences, with full payment required before the completed project can be taken home from the College. Almost all required materials are available on site and can be purchased directly through the College.
