Dear Parents and Caregivers

End of Term 2

As we approach the end of Term 2, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our students on their efforts throughout the term. Our students have continued to show perseverance and dedication in their learning, and it is great to see the progress being made on their learning journey in 2026.

I would also like to extend my thank you to our dedicated staff. Their hard work, commitment, and care for our students and families have been unwavering. How blessed we are to have such a passionate and professional team!

In preparation for the end of term, our teachers have been diligently finalising student reports. These will be available via SEQTA at the end of next week, and we will notify families once they are uploaded. I encourage you to take the time over the holidays to read through the reports with your children - celebrate their achievements and discuss goals for Semester Two. Parents and caregivers are invited to arrange a meeting with their child’s classroom teacher early next term to discuss the Mid-Year Report in more detail if required.

Ignatius Liturgy

Thank you to all our students and staff in the Ignatius Faction for leading us in this week's liturgy. I know our Ignatius student also enjoyed their sausage sizzle lunch.

Cross Country Success

Congratulations to all our Cross Country competitors on your efforts at last week's Cross Country. You were all amazing! Well done to our Champion Faction - MacKillop and all our individual champions. Thanks again to the staff and parent helpers and spectators on the day, and in particular to Mr McCormack and Miss Williams for organising and coordinating the day. We now look forward to the Interschool Cross Country in Term 3 and training and preparing the team!

NAIDOC Week

We look forward to celebrating NAIDOC Week at St Helena's Catholic Primary School next week. Thank you Miss Kaylene Bederson and the staff Cultural Perspective Team of Ms Wanda Thompson, Miss Lauren Carger and Miss Melissa Myles for coordinating the week's activities and resources. All welcome to join us next Tuesday 30 June at 10:10am to celebrate our NAIDOC Week liturgy.

Vinnies Winter Appeal

Thanks again to all our families who have made food donations to this year's Vinnies Winter Appeal. It is so very important that we teach all our students the importance of charity and the genuine desire to help other people, and not just to get something in return. We want to always strive to do Something Beautiful for God. Thank you Miss McGovern and the Mini Vinnies on your efforts in promoting the appeal.

Looking forward to next Friday 3 July too, when we come to school in our PJ's for a gold coin donation that goes to Vinnies.

Disco

The P&F Disco is on Friday evening. Time to dance and celebrate! Don't forget to purchase your tickets online. Thanks in advance to the P&F Committee and all helpers for what promises to be another great event for our students.
