Dear Community Members,
Thank You for a Positive Semester at MacKillop
We continue to 'fire on all cylinders' as the semester draws to a close. Congratulations to our Year 10 to 12 students on completing their exams recently. This is always a demanding time, and their effort and perseverance have been clear.
Reports for our Year 7 to 12 students will soon be issued, providing a snapshot in time of the learning and teaching that has taken place since February.
There is still plenty happening. Our Year 11 and 12 students will take part in their Retreats and the Enchanted Winter Evening, and the Ember Festival next Tuesday promises to be a great community event. All are welcome.
A special mention to our Year 7 students as they approach the end of their first six months. We are very proud of the way this group has settled in and embraced the year so far. A parent survey will be sent out shortly to help us understand what is working well and where we can improve.
I would also like to acknowledge our Year 10 students, who have shown significant growth across the term. With approximately 200 pathways planning meetings, our team was put to the test. We are a College with high expectations that all of our students leave with a strong pathway. I continue to be excited by the leaps and bounds we make in this space. I think we will be expanding Julian!
As the semester finishes in the next week or so, I would like to sincerely thank our parents, staff, and students for all they contribute to our MacKillop community. It has been a positive and productive term and Semester, marked by steady progress, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to learning and wellbeing. It hasn't been perfect, but I am grateful for the way people work together at MacKillop and look forward to building on this in the semester ahead.
