A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Friends of Donvale Team

The Donvale Christian College community has been richly blessed this year through the many events, initiatives and countless hours of service provided by our Friends of Donvale (FOD) team. This dedicated group of parent volunteers continually invests their energy, creativity and enthusiasm into strengthening and enriching our college community.

So Far in 2026, our community has enjoyed:

Welcome Fest 2026
New Parents Wine & Cheese Night
Lunch for parents at Junior Primary Athletics Day
Hot Cross Bun Day for Primary students
Mothers & Carers Dinner at Bramleigh Estate
Mother’s Day Stall
Donut Day for Secondary students
Hot Chocolate Day for Primary students
Weekly Prayer Gatherings every Monday morning
and a fabulous Second-hand Uniform Shop service!

Year-Level community events have also included:

Prep Parents Morning Tea
Year 7 Parents Sweet & Savoury Night
Hot Chips for Year 9 Campus families
Rush HQ social event for Year 4 families
Breakfast for Year 12 families celebrating the milestone of 50 days of school remaining

Adding to this impressive list, our Class Representatives have also been actively fostering connection across the College. From morning and afternoon teas in the FOD Lounge and local cafés, to family social gatherings after hours, these volunteers continue to create opportunities for meaningful relationships to grow. Our Year 11 parent community also generously contributed their time and creativity to organise the décor for the student Formal in May.

While many of these events include memorable treats, activities and celebrations, they are about so much more than donuts, hot chips or inflatable rides. Each gathering provides an opportunity to connect, encourage one another, celebrate milestones, and journey together through the school years as a Christ-centred community.

The Friends of Donvale team brings together a wealth of experience, diverse skills, generous availability, deep faith and a shared commitment to serving DCC. Throughout the year, they thoughtfully review, plan and deliver opportunities that strengthen community and support families across the College.

Please join me in expressing our sincere thanks to the Friends of Donvale team and their many volunteers for all they have contributed so far this year. Their service has made a significant impact on our community, and we are deeply grateful.
