Christian Studies

We are looking specifically how we can be responsible for people around us and what action we can take to take care ‘of the world’.

Writer’s and Reader’s Workshop:

As authors, we will be exploring the genre of ‘letter writing’. We will be learning about the features of different letters and how to write a letter. As reader’s we will then be focusing on book recommendations for other students in the classroom.

The classes are undertaking the Premier’s Reading Challenge and the Premier’s Be Active Challenge together. Once completed, students will receive a certificate or medal at Assembly next term.

Mathematics:

We are moving to a focus on 3D objects and how to classify them. This will also be done alongside learning about mass of these objects. As part of our number work we will focus on grouping and sharing.

Unit of Inquiry: Where We Are in Place and Time

Students are presenting their information about what they have learnt during this unit of inquiry. We will then be moving onto our next unit of inquiry ‘How the World Works’ and providing some provocations to begin exploring the ‘big ideas’ for this unit.
