Junior Sports Report

Stage 3 – Todd Woodbridge Cup 

On Wednesday 19 August, 18 students proudly represented the College at the Stage 3 Todd Woodbridge Cup. Trinity entered two teams in the competition, with one team competing in Division 1 and the other in Division 2. 

There was a fantastic turnout from schools across Albury and the surrounding areas, with 16 teams competing throughout the day. Both Trinity teams performed exceptionally well during their pool matches, securing a place in the final for their respective divisions. 

The Division 1 team played some excellent tennis throughout the competition, finishing second overall on the day. Their impressive result has earned them a place in the Regional Play-Off in Wagga Wagga on Friday 23 October. We wish the team all the best as they prepare for this next stage of the competition. 

The Division 2 team also had a very successful day, winning their final and finishing the competition on a high. It was wonderful to see the students display great sportsmanship, determination and enthusiasm throughout the day. 

A special highlight for Sonny and Lachlan was being selected by the WIN News team for an interview on the day. Well done, boys! 

Congratulations to all 18 students who represented the College and gave their best on the court. A special thank you also goes to Mrs McAinsh for her wonderful organisation of the competition and for supporting the students through their training and preparation. 

Stage 2 – Todd Woodbridge Cup 

Unfortunately, the Stage 2 competition scheduled for Thursday 20 August had to be postponed due to wet weather. The competition will now be rescheduled for next month. Further information will be sent to the Stage 2 team shortly. 

Well done to all our students involved in the Todd Woodbridge Cup! 

CIS Athletics 

Next Friday 4 September, we will have 13 students attending the CIS Athletics Carnival in Sydney. These students will be competing against the best athletes in all of the New South Wales Independent Schools.

Scots Vs Trinity Rob James Basketball Challenge

Last Tuesday, 28 of our star basketballers from Years 3-6, travelled to Scots, for our annual ‘Friendly’ basketball game. 

The divisions were; Year 3-4 boys, Year 3-4 girls, Year 5/6 boys and Year 5/6 girls. Our students supported each other all day and when it was their time to hit the court, they did so with plenty of enthusiasm, determination, and professionalism. So much so, that we were able to come away with 4 victories from all 4 games. Well done to all of our boys and girls who took part in this day!
