Angelico Art Exhibition

The Angelico Art Exhibition for Catholic students is a prestigious annual event on the Catholic school art calendar. Named in honour of Blessed Fra Angelico, the patron of artists, the exhibition celebrates creativity and artistic excellence within Catholic education. 

The exhibition showcases both Primary and Secondary artworks from across the state and will be open from 10–28 August 2026 at the Forrest Centre, 221 St Georges Terrace, Perth. 

Congratulations to the following students whose outstanding artworks have been selected for display in the 2026 Angelico Art Exhibition. 

Pre-Primary- Grace  

The Smallest Turtle 

We read the story about the Smallest Turtle who was trying to find his home. In my painting, I showed how brave he was and how he kept going until he finally reached the sea. 

Year 1- Taty 

Rose Garden 

My mum and I love roses, and I painted this garden to show organic shapes and the beauty of pink roses

Year 2- Olly 

 Protea 

My protea flower painting was inspired by Jude Walker’s style. I wanted to show the beauty of nature and how it is a special gift from God. 

Year 3- Leisel  

Lola the Sugar Glider 

Lola the Sugar Glider is my favourite Australian animal because she is so cute. I used Henri Rousseau’s lush, dreamlike style to paint the Aussie jungle around her. 

Year 4- Olympia 

Eagle 

My painting was inspired by Australian artist Bronwyn Bancroft, who celebrates the country’s flora and fauna through her vibrant artwork.

Year 5- Stella 

Celary 

My bunny Celary’s heartbreak shows every time she realises my cat won’t be her friend, and I used cool colours to bring out the depth of her sadness. 

Year 6- Peter 

Holy Spirit 

This is a celebration of the Holy Spirit. I drew inspiration from Takashi Murakami’s vibrant style to express the joy of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit guides, strengthens, and supports us in all things
