Writer’s Workshop: We are starting the term with an illustration study – exploring how authors and illustrators make choices about the style, design and detail included in their illustrations. This is linked with Book Week – A symphony of stories.
Reader’s Workshop: We will be participating in Reader’s Theatre in class. This aims to enhance our skills when reading aloud and invite elements of performance into our reading.
Mathematics: We will begin learning about division this week. Our primary focus is on exploring how we can share items equally into groups.
Unit of Inquiry: We have started our first unit of inquiry for this term – How We Express Ourselves, with a focus on performance. This week our primary focus is on preparing for our chapel presentation on Friday.
