From the School Leadership Team

Week 3 Update
It's hard to believe we're already at the end of Week 3!
A warm thank you to Sarah K, Sarah H and Sheridan for their generous help with school photos on Tuesday. Their time and support behind the scenes helped the day to run smoothly, and we're grateful for the contribution our class carers make to school life.
Our debating team is hard at work preparing for their final debate next week. We wish them well as they put the finishing touches on their arguments and look forward to sharing the results with our community soon.
Exciting times ahead in our library! Book Week 2026 is fast approaching, with this year's theme, "Symphony of Stories," celebrating the wonderful orchestra of books we all get to read and share. Students, staff and parents are invited to dress up on Tuesday 25th August to enjoy our Community Breakfast at 8.00am courtesy of our P & F Committee followed by our Book Week Character Parade in the Worship Centre. Costumes don't need to be elaborate, and clothes from home are most welcome (please keep footwear practical for play and learning).
Hot on its heels, The Great Book Swap runs in Week 7 (Monday 31st August – Thursday 4th September). For a gold coin donation, students can swap a book they've finished for a new one to enjoy, with proceeds supporting the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. Book donations can be dropped at the front office or Sunnybrook Library by 26th August.
Please refer to the separate article in this newsletter for full details on both events.
Leadership Update
Tim Kriewaldt, our Deputy Principal, continues to recover from surgery, and we anticipate he will return on Monday 10 August. While Tim is away, Rachel Saunders will be Acting Deputy Principal.
Tanya Rowland, our Business Manager, has also had surgery over the holidays and is recovering well; we're anticipating she will also be back on Monday 10 August. In the meantime, for any enquiries that would ordinarily go to Tanya as the Business Manager, please contact Sharlene Rothe, our Finance Officer, at finance@goldengrove.sa.edu.au.

LLL - Charitable Donations Program
We're thrilled to partner with LLL Australia to bring you a meaningful way to support our school through their Charitable Donation Program.
Your generosity in making a deposit with the LLL through a Charitable Facility Account which will assist us in upgrading our Foundation playground.
The funds you hold in your Facility will generate notional amounts of interest that is retained by LLL who will make a regular allocation to us to further our project, while your original investment remains completely untouched.
Our partnership with LLL Australia makes it simple and secure by:
- Opening a new LLL Charitable Facility.
- Nominating Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School as the preferred beneficiary of the interest your facility will forgo.
That's it! You can rest easy knowing your money is making a meaningful difference in our community—all with zero fees or charges to you.
If you would like to know more, please contact Tanya Rowland, our Business Manager.
The link below enables you to open an LLL Charitable Facility and nominate our school.
