Warragul Municipal Band invites young musicians and families to discover the excitement of playing in a brass band!
Join us at the Salvation Army, 120 Burke Street, Warragul for a special Come and Try Brass & Percussion Experience on Tuesday 11th August from 6:30 pm.
This free event is a great opportunity for children aged 8 years and above to:
-Try playing a range of brass and percussion instruments
-Learn about how a community band works
-Meet musicians and ask questions about learning an instrument
-Discover Warragul Municipal Band’s education programs

The session will be led by newly appointed Training Band Director, Julia Curl, a VIT-registered classroom and instrumental music teacher with over 18 years’ experience performing in bands and ensembles. Julia is passionate about helping young musicians develop their skills and confidence through music.
Following the Come and Try session, families are invited to stay and hear the Warragul Municipal Band Senior Band perform a free concert at 7:30 pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity to experience live brass music, learn more about joining a band, and discover the enjoyment of making music with others.
