This unique opportunity brings together over 20 Allied Health professionals in one space, giving students the chance to engage directly, ask questions, explore different career paths, and build their understanding of the many roles within the allied health sector.
You’ll also be able to connect with a wide range of universities and training providers, including Melbourne University, Swinburne, La Trobe, Torrens University, Victoria University, Deakin, GOTAFE—and many more—to explore your study options and plan your pathway into the profession.

La Trobe Aspire Early Offer Program
What’s the Aspire Early Offer Program?
At La Trobe, there’s more than one way into uni. The Aspire Early Offer Program gives students the option to secure an early conditional offer to La Trobe before finishing Year 12. With Aspire, you’ll have the option to gain an offer into a wide range of course options across our campuses. No matter if you’re studying in Melbourne, regionally in Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura and Shepparton, or online – Aspire can set you up with an early offer into your dream course at uni.
Aspire streams
Aspire has three streams to choose from, so if you've given back to your community, did well in Year 11, or have a strong drive to make a future impact, then you can secure a spot in your dream course before finishing Year 12.
Aspire applications for all three streams close at 11:59pm on Friday 5 September (so you do have plenty of time to apply before VTAC opens on 28 July in Term 3).

Defence Work Experience Program
The Defence Work Experience Program provides young Australians with an interest in a Defence career, the opportunity to gain exposure to a range of job roles available within the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Australian Public Service (APS).
Defence work experience activities are designed to be hands-on and interactive so that young people can make informed career decisions. Defence is committed to providing a national work experience program designed to:
- demonstrate the wide variety of interesting careers available within Defence
- promote Defence as an employer of choice
- and assist in the development of the skills of young Australians.
Opportunities are available for secondary students and participantsmust be 15 years of age or over at the time of the placement.

Available Defence work experience placements throughout the year are advertised on the Defence Work Experience Program Jobs List.
Each placement includes an information pack that provides details of the activities you may participate in, any special conditions of the placement, and the eligibility/assessment criteria and application link.
UCAT - University Clinical Aptitude Test
If you are planning on applying to university to study medicine or dentistry in 2026 you are required to sit the UCAT in addition to applying through VTAC in Term 3.
What is UCAT?
UCAT stands for University Clinical Aptitude Test. UCAT is one of three main criteria used by most universities in Australia and New Zealand to select students into high demand health related careers such as medicine and dentistry (the other two criteria being performance in Year 12 and an interview).
The UCAT is a two hour, computer-based test which assesses a range of mental abilities identified by universities as important to practicing in the fields of medicine and dentistry. It consists of five separately timed subtests which each contain a number of questions in a multiple-choice format.
Important Information
Registrations for the UCAT open Tuesday 4 March 2025 and closes Friday 16 May.
The UCAT will be offered on a choice of dates from 1 July to 5 August 2025.
