After a tough loss in the first week
They trained so well before Game 2
I reminded them “run… dribble… shoot” & didn’t they just do that!
We had quite a few shots, and our first goal was scored by Matteo, and we drew 1-1!
The kids were so stoked (especially with their half-time oranges) & we can’t wait for the rest of the season!
SAPSASA District Cross Country Championships
Nine Lockleys North students proudly represented the school at the Airport District Cross Country Championships, held on Monday, 11th May at Barratt Reserve, West Beach.
Results
- 10-year-old girls: Sophie T – 24th
- 10-year-old boys: Jude N – Silver medallist; Christos K – 17th; Ethan R – 33rd
- 11-year-old girls: Lara R – 18th; Scarlett B – 30th
- 11-year-old boys: Nathanael S – Gold medallist; David Q - 28th
12-year-old girls: Quinn N – 4th
With most age groups comprising approximately 50–60 competitors, our students performed exceptionally well and represented the school with distinction. Our school finished 6th overall in the large school category which is an amazing achievement given our relatively small number of competitors.
Congratulations to Jude, Nathanael and Quinn, who have also been selected to represent the Airport District at the SAPSASA State Cross Country Championships at Oakbank in June.
Thank you to all parents who attended to support our students, and special thanks to Kylie Tooth for volunteering as a course marshal on behalf of the school.
