CE STUDENT FORUMS

CE Student Forums – Term 2 Update

We are excited to share that our CE Student Forums will be continuing in Term 2, providing a valuable opportunity for student voice, collaboration, and leadership across our network of schools.

This term, we will be connecting with students and educators from:

  • Stradbroke School
  • Unley Primary School
  • Lonsdale Heights Primary School
  • Kalangadoo Primary School
  • Kongorong Primary School

These forums are a fantastic way for learners to engage with peers beyond their own school, share ideas, and work collectively towards meaningful goals. Before the network session, Ambassadors will meet up to prepare the following;

  • Identify and choose one goal we would like to achieve as a school
  • Reflect on our school’s strengths and areas for growth
  • Consider using the “10 Ways to Activate Learning” mode cards to support our thinking and goal-setting.

We look forward to seeing the thoughtful goals and collaborative spirit our students bring to this term’s forums.

Student Ambassadors & Student Leaders in Action

Our Student Ambassadors and Student Leaders have been hard at work this week, demonstrating fantastic initiative, teamwork, and leadership across a range of projects within our school.

  • There was a busy and productive agenda, with students collaborating to organise an upcoming school disco. This included designing eye-catching posters and working through key planning details to ensure the event is enjoyable for everyone.

  • Our Student Ambassadors also took the lead in drafting an email to staff, showcasing their ability to communicate ideas clearly and professionally. This is a great example of student voice in action, with learners contributing directly to whole school communication.

  • In addition, students have been putting the finishing touches on video tutorials for our new library equipment, helping to support their peers in confidently accessing and using these resources.

  • Another important focus was reviewing feedback from the suggestion boxes located in classrooms. Students thoughtfully discussed ideas raised by their peers, showing a strong commitment to listening and responding to the wider student community.

  • Preparations are also underway for the launch of Parachute Club, which begins this Thursday. Students have been busy organising and planning to ensure a successful and engaging start.

It has been especially pleasing to see the R–3 Student Leaders working alongside the Year 4–6 Student Ambassadors, with meaningful collaboration across year levels. The way students supported one another, shared ideas, and worked as a team was a highlight of the week.

Wellbeing and Engagement Collection Update

We are currently in the middle of collecting our 2026 Wellbeing and Engagement Collection survey data, with all students in Years 4–6 taking part. This important survey gives our students a voice and helps us better understand their experiences at school.

At LNPS, we are incredibly proud of the strong upward trend in our WEC data over recent years. Our 2021–2025 results show consistent growth across many areas, including student happiness, sense of belonging, engagement, and academic self-concept.

The percentage of students who report feeling supported by their teachers has remained exceptionally high (reaching up to 100%), while overall happiness and engagement measures have steadily improved. This reflects the collective effort of our students, staff, and families in building a positive and supportive school culture.

The WEC survey is a vital tool for schools. It provides meaningful insights into student wellbeing, engagement, and learning readiness, allowing us to make informed decisions about teaching practices, wellbeing programs, and whole-school priorities.

Additonally, this data is not just used by staff. Our student leaders and ambassadors also play a key role in analysing the Whole School results. They work collaboratively to interpret the data, identify strengths, and highlight areas for improvement. From this, they help lead student-driven actions and initiatives aimed at further enhancing wellbeing across our school.

We look forward to sharing our 2026 results with our community and continuing to build on the positive growth we have seen over time.
