Student Absence and Assessment Policy Reminder

Families are reminded that the Student Absence Policy is available on the College website, including a link to the College Assessment Policy. These policies outline the responsibilities of students and families regarding attendance, communication, and assessment requirements.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with these expectations to help support students in meeting College requirements and deadlines.

Uniform and Presentation Reminder

As we move through the term, students have recently been reminded of the College expectations regarding presentation and grooming. It has been noticed that some girls have been wearing makeup, false lashes, nails, and jewellery, that are not in line with College expectations. These reminders were addressed with students during Community PG last week.

This is also a reminder that boys are expected to be clean shaven and maintain haircuts that align with College expectations.

These expectations are outlined in the Student Diary. We appreciate the support of families in reinforcing these expectations and maintaining the high standards of our College community.

Relay For Life – Senior Student Team

This year, St Mary’s will be entering a Senior Student Team in the Relay For Life event on Saturday 1 August, supporting the Cancer Council and raising funds for an important cause.

An Expression of Interest form has now been released for senior students interested in being involved. Participation may include assisting with fundraising activities leading up to the event and taking part in the overnight Relay For Life event running from 2:00pm Saturday 1 August until 8:00am Sunday 2 August.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to demonstrate service and community spirit, whilst embracing this year’s Year 11 theme, 'Leading the Way'.

2027 Ergon/Energex Apprenticeships

Ergon and Energex are offering a series of information sessions to help students gain valuable industry knowledge and strengthen their understanding of the application process ahead of the 2027 apprenticeship intake.

Applications open on 12 June 2026. Please note that registration is required to attend the information sessions.

Defense Force Work Experience - Navy

Applications are now open for Navy Work Experience in Cairns. This is a fantastic opportunity for students interested in exploring careers within the Australian Defence Force.

WHOLE-OF-COLLEGE NOTICES

My School Connect

My School Connect has been rolled out as an ordering and payment system for the Tuckshop, Uniform Shop, Library items (including new laptop skins, power cords, and library books), extracurricular sports tours, instrumental music fees, and more.

If you have not yet activated your My School Connect account, please do so using the activation link that was sent to your file email address in January.

If you require a new activation code, please contact support@myschoolconnect.com.au, and they will be able to reissue the activation link if required.

School Fees and Levies - Term 2, 2026

School fees and levies for Term 2 were issued via email on Wednesday, 6 May 2026. The due date for payment was Wednesday, 20 May 2026.

Please contact the Accounts Team to set up an approved payment plan if you were unable to pay in full by the due date. Thank you to those families that have paid in full or already have an approved payment plan.
