Year 12 End of Year Celebrations

Year 12 Last Day of Classes: Friday 16 October 2026

Friday 16 October marks the last day of Year 12. This will be a day of celebration and activities with both breakfast and lunch provided for students.

In previous years, students have organised a parade to school from Eltham, which is typically led and communicated by the students via social media. Breakfast will be provided for students and staff in the Drama Space commencing at 9:00am. It will be the final time the year group will have an opportunity to spend time together in an informal manner.

Students are expected to attend periods 2, 3, 4, and 5 as per normal.

Lunch will be provided in the Drama Space.

To celebrate the final day of Year 12 classes, students will finish the day with a final countdown to the end of day bell.

There will be an assortment of games and activities provided throughout the day in Room 111 that can be used by students during breaks and study periods.

There will also be an assortment of activities held every day at lunch time through out week 2 in the lead up to the final day.

Overview:

Walk/parade to school, arrive by 9:00am

Period 1: Breakfast

Period 2: Class

Recess: Activities provided in Drama space (Room 111)

Period 3 and 4: Class as per normal

Lunch: Pizza and chips provided, this is a good opportunity to say goodbye to students and teachers

Period 5: Class, during this time students will be escorted to the back oval for the countdown to the bell

Valedictory Evening

Thursday 19 November 2026

All families are invited to this official celebration to formally say farewell to our 2026 Year 12 students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the Eltham High School community.

The venue for the celebration will be the Nalleijerring Performance Centre at Eltham High School commencing at 7:00pm and concluding at 10:30pm. As space is limited, parents/guardians will be requested to reserve up to 2 seats via the Trybooking website. Further details and a link to book seats will be provided to families at the beginning of term 4.

Cost for all events: $98

Year 12 Practice Exams

September Holidays:

All students completing a Unit 3/4 subject, including Year 11 enhancement students, are strongly encouraged to attend their scheduled Year 12 Practice Exam during the September holidays. These exams will be completed under VCAA examination conditions and sent to an external assessor for marking and feedback, providing valuable preparation for the end-of-year examinations.

Practice Exam Dates:

Monday 21 September to Thursday 24 September 

(Please note that Friday is a public holiday and no exams will be held.)

Clashes or 3 exams in one day: 

If you have two exams at the same time or three on the same day, please email Dianne Parry to reschedule one of your exams.

Special Provisions: 

If you use a laptop to complete SACs and exams, please bring your own device. You will then be emailing Di Parry (Supervisor) your completed exam to print.

Small group settings: 

Run in 111 or the study centre, further information will be available on the day.

Some subjects will complete their practice exam during week 9 (in school hours). If this is the case, you will not complete an additional exam during the holidays.

If you cannot make a certain exam, please contact your classroom teacher before the end of term to obtain the exam. If you do not intend to attend, you must let your coordinator know.

Important Information:

Access to the school will be via the side gate near the Stadium.

Only the 100s building will be open during the holiday exam period.

Year 12 - Class of 2026 Group Photo

The Class of 2026 Year 12 Group Photo has arrived and is now on display in the Year 12 Common Room for students to view.

Order forms have been distributed by MSP Photography, and students can use their individual shoot key to purchase a copy of the group photo. The ordering deadline has been extended to Thursday 24 September.

Photos are priced at $23 each and are printed in a 12 x 8 format.

Parents/carers are reminded to provide consent for their Year 10 student's upcoming immunisation on Wednesday 16 September.
