Foundation - Grade 2 Religion:

How can your helping hands care for our common home?

This unit of Religion students have been learning about how we can care for creation. This week students observed the Laudato Si' written by Pope Francis and explored how people have enacted the Laudato Si' within their lives. The students have thought about what they can do in the steps of Pope Francis to help care for our world. 

Year 3-6 Literacy

Students in Year 5/6 are currently reading the novel "Can You See Me?" by Libby Scott and Rebecca Westcott. With moving Diary entries written by 11-year-old Libby Scott, based on her own experience of autism, "Can You See Me?" is an authentic, powerful and truly memorable collaboration with esteemed author Rebecca Westcott that will change the way you think about autism.

In “Can you see me” I really love that Tally is different in a good way and she likes her own opinions. I like that she still talks to her friends, well at least tries to, and she doesn’t give up on her friends or herself. - Kiarah

The book Can you See me is a great book preferred to readers who like emotional books because Tally feels a lot of emotions throughout the book like emptiness and a loss of friendship.
