Bullying No Way

A huge thank you and well done to the Year 12s who led the way with raising awareness for "Bullying No Way" Week. The students embodied the “Small Acts, Big Impacts” by making delicious, purple-topped cupcakes for the entire school community! It was wonderful to hear conversations about bullying and its impacts, whilst everyone came together and enjoyed this awesome student-led event. A huge shout out to Vicky Levesque who supported the PDS class in making the cupcakes!

Wear It Purple

Friday 28th August is Wear It Purple Day and this year’s theme is Colours of Courage.

Colours of Courage celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+ young people, allies and communities every day.

Courage can look like speaking up, standing out and creating change. It can also take quieter forms of bravery, like living authentically, coming out, asking for support, standing beside someone, or choosing pride and hope in spaces where being yourself does not always feel easy.

The colours in this year’s theme reflect the diversity of identities, experiences and stories within our communities. Like light through a prism, every colour is different, but together they create something powerful.

Note:  Friday 28th August is not a casual dress day (once a term our SLT direct this space). We ask all students to still be wearing their full school uniform on Friday 28th however, you can accessorize with a purple ribbon, purple clip, purple wrist band etc.
