VC23 Creative Presentations

Last term, students in the middle school elective, Creative Presentations created an invitation design for a chosen event and audience. They explored fancy finishes for their invitations and envelopes, including wax seals, heat embossing powder, and address labels. 

They then moved onto making apersonal keyring that was hand drawn, digitised and laser cut into their own personal keyring. Check out their amazing final pieces. 

Unit 4 HHD

Unit 4 Health & Human Development students exploring and discussing the Sustainable Development Goals. Eoghan, Emily, Amelia and Chloe are working hard to cover the last 2 textbook topics in preparation for their final SAC. Their efforts are commended! 

Indonesian Wayang Puppets

Indonesian Wayang Puppets

During the school’s Snow Sport Program, our Year 7 Indonesian students had the opportunity to explore Indonesian culture through a hands-on creative activity. Students learned about Wayang, a traditional Indonesian puppet art form that has been an important part of Indonesian culture and storytelling for generations.

Students designed and created their own Wayang puppets, learning about the distinctive shapes, characters and artistic styles associated with this traditional art form. Through this activity, students were able to connect their Indonesian language learning with Indonesian culture while developing their creativity and practical skills.

It was wonderful to see students enthusiastically creating their own Wayang characters and discovering a different aspect of Indonesia beyond the classroom!
