We love celebrating our students' achievements both in and out of school! If your child has recently been involved in any accomplishments outside of school, we'd love to celebrate them in the newsletter. Please email nicolle.brown@education.vic.gov.au 

CGPS Chess Team Celebrates Big Wins in Sunshine West!

A huge congratulations to the CGPS Chess Team for their outstanding performance at the inter-school chess tournament hosted by Sirius College in Sunshine West! 

Our players came together brilliantly, achieving:

🥇 2 Gold Medals — Dada (6D) and Kaisar (4B)

🥈 2 Silver Medals — Nabil (5C) and Ryan (Prep A)🥉

 1 Bronze Medal — Ryan (3A)

On top of that, the team proudly claimed the Zonal Champion title and Aidan from 2B secured a Star of the Tournament award with a perfect score of 7/7! 

We were also thrilled to see several of our younger players join in on the day: 

Ryan (Prep A), Chase & Cynthia (Prep D), Chelsea (2B) and Aelia (2C). Every point they earned contributed to this incredible team win!

Well done to all our players, and a heartfelt thank you to the parents who supported and drove all the way to the West.
