Local Medical Services
We would like to a create a bank of medical services that practice in different languages to support our new international families and those who speak languages other than english in our community.
If you can recommend a GP, dentist, psychologist or any other medical service who practices in Mandarin, Korean, Tagalog, Bengali, Cantonese, Malayalam, Vietnamese or Arabic, please send their details to Nicolle.Brown@education.vic.gov.au .

JSC Announcements
Parent Opinion Survey
Each year school's around Victoria conduct an opinion survey of the school community.
To complete the survey, please see the link on compass. The survey is designed to take no more than 20 minutes to complete and your feedback and opinions play an important role in making our school the best it can possibly be.
Please be assured that your responses are completely confidential and will be sent to an independent organisation for collation and reporting. Your assistance is greatly appreciated and we look forward to using your feedback to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement.
Breakfast Club
We are on the lookout for parent volunteers each week to help with cereal, toast and general good vibes. If you can lend a hand on your child’s rostered day, or any day, we’d love to have you! Please email the school at carlton.gardens.ps@education.vic.gov.au with the subject line BREAKFAST CLUB.

Chess Tournament at CGPS
We’re thrilled to confirm that CGPS will host another interschool tournament this year, and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever! This time it’s a Primary Open, meaning all students from Prep to Grade 6 are welcome to join.
Event Details:
- Date: Monday, 13 October
- Time: 9:00am – 2:30pm (plus presentations)
- Who: Prep–Grade 6, all skill levels welcome
- Where: CGPS, PAC Room
Cost: $25 per player (payable on the day, usually cash)
⚡ These spots fill up very quickly, so please register your child as soon as possible—no payment is required at the time of booking.
As the host school, we’ll also have the home ground advantage—which means more CGPS players can participate, qualify for semifinals, and (hopefully!) take home as many wins as we did last year!
Pot donations for our Wellbeing Garden
We are restarting a little wellbeing garden behind the slide area for students who work with Nicolle to use. We have begun to plant some herbs and vegetables that will hopefully be harvested and shared at the Breakfast Club next term!
We are on the lookout for more large plastic or terracotta outdoor pots to grow these delicious plants in. If you have any lying around your yard that you are not using anymore and would like to donate, please drop them at the office with attention for Nicolle.

Road Safety
Stopping across intersections is illegal and we have referred the matter of vehicles blocking the intersection of Grattan and Rathdowne streets as well as failing to give way to pedestrians to Victoria Police for consideration of enforcement.
If you see unsafe behaviour like this, you can contact the Police to request enforcement either via this link Police Assistance Line or by phone on 131 444.
2026 Enrollments
If you are enrolling your child's/children's siblings for Prep next year, please call the office for enrolment forms and we can send them home.
Music Lessons
If you would like to enquire about instrumental lessons please contact any of the teachers below. Payment is made directly to them and classes are subject to availability.
Cost:
Individual Lessons - $44 per 30-minute lesson
Group Lessons (2-4 students) - $20 per 30-minute lesson
