Save the Date - Term 4 Family Mass - Saturday 25th October 2025

Save the Date! Our Term 4 Family Mass will be celebrated  on Saturday 25th October 2025 at 5:30pm.  This will also be the Commitment Mass for our Year 3 students who are about to embark on the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Looking forward to seeing as many families as possible join our final Family Mass of 2025.

October - Month of the Holy Rosary

When we return in Term 4, we will be midway through the month of the Holy Rosary. I am offering a few opportunities to pray the Rosary, one of which is before school and your children can join in too (see the flyer for more details). If you have never prayed the Rosary before, you may be surprised to know it only takes 30 minutes and it is a beautiful way to honour the events in Jesus and Mary's life. Plus it graces you 30 minutes to be still and reflect.  All welcome, come and give it a go. Bring your Rosary beads if you have them and if you don't come anyway, I have a few spare Rosary beads for you to borrow.

All Saints Day Lolly Guessing Competition

To learn more about some of our Saints, there will be a Lolly Guessing competition starting on our school Feast Day Thursday 16th October 2025. There will be 3 lolly jars, all of which are attached to a different Saint.  Students can pay $1 for 3 guesses and the competition will run until winners are announced after our All Saints and All Souls Day Liturgy at the end of October.

Christmas Wreath making Workshop - EOI

Ever wanted to make your own Christmas Wreath? Here is your chance!  I will host a workshop for Christmas Wreath Making in November. There will be a parent/carer only workshop on Monday 24th November 2025 at 9am and a parent/carer/child workshop on Tuesday 25th November 2025 after school from 3pm - 4pm. Refer to the flyer for more details. It will cost $15 to participate in this initiative and you will get to take home your own Christmas Wreath. Note this initiative will only proceed if there are enough interested people.  If you are interested in participating, please make sure you register using the QR code on the flyer by 31st October 2025.

Save the Date - Sacred Heart Parishes Christmas Carols - Sunday 7th December 2025

Early I hear you say? Not really.  Save the Date for the most spectacular Christmas Carols  you will ever attend which will be held in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church on Sunday 7th December 2025.  Our StMM Voices will also be participating in the Carols. More details will follow in Term 4.

Lastly, for those who may be interested in some light reading over the holidays and if you are in the position of  soon  considering a Catholic high school for your child, the NSW Catholic Schools Guide 2025 has just been published. Enjoy the Spring break and I look forward to a busy Term 4!

Go gently, every blessing
